White champagne can be made from white and also from dark grapes. The white grapes are made from Chardonnay (white grape with white juice) only, which adds softness and freshness of champagne. The dark grapes are made from Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir (blue grapes with white juice), which give a fruity taste of champagne.
